About Us LFCINTERNATIONAL is based in New York City and was founded by Jeff L'Hote, an attorney and former banker, prosecutor and retained executive recruiter.
L’Hote is an expert on the history of international soccer and professional and amateur soccer in the U.S. He is the lead author of ‘Soccer in North America: The Commercial Opportunities’, the most comprehensive resource ever published on the U.S. soccer industry. He is a graduate of the MBA (Football Industries) program at The University of Liverpool (UK) — the only post-graduate program in the world to focus exclusively on the business and commercial aspects of the global football (soccer) industry. L’Hote has consulted on a number of US/European soccer projects. Prior to founding LFCINTERNATIONAL, he was affiliated with a London-based soccer consultancy.
A diverse professional and educational background gives L’Hote a unique understanding of the global soccer industry and the practical issues impacting upon the soccer landscape in the U.S. Starting his career within the corporate finance division of Citicorp Investment Bank, L’Hote subsequently earned his law degree at The Catholic University of America, where he was a published member of the law review, and later served as a law clerk and then assistant district attorney in Hudson County, New Jersey. L’Hote later became a retained executive recruiter, focusing on senior-level investment banking assignments. He received undergraduate degrees from St. Peter's College where he played on the school's NCAA Division I soccer team.
L’Hote is a passionate and well-traveled soccer supporter and has an intense interest in the power of soccer as a vehicle for international development and diplomacy. He sits on the board of Play Soccer, a US-based non-profit organization that utilizes soccer as a social development tool to assist disadvantaged children in six African countries.
